14-14-14
For Potatoes
14-14-14 is good for potatoes growth and foliage. Apply it in two or three applications:
*1st-just before or at planting
*2nd_early growth stage
*3rd_when it begins to flower
Application guide:
*At Planting: Mix the first application into the soil at or just before planting. A banded application is often recommended, placing the fertilizer two to three inches below and to the side of the seed pieces.
*During early growth: second application can be made during the early growth stage. This supports leaf and stem development.
*At flowering: A third application can be beneficial when the plants start to flower, as this is a critical time for tuber initiation and development.
How to apply:
Scatter the fertilizer around the base of the plants (side-dressing), being careful not to let it touch the foliage directly. Lightly incorporate it into the soil and water thoroughly after application.
For Other Plants
Can be applied to the soil surface of established potted plants, flower beds, established plantings, and new plantings of bedding plants, bulbs, roses, shrubs, or vegetables. The soil surface around larger plants like tomatoes, squash, or corn can also be treated.
Chicken Manure
Chicken Manure is a nutrient-rich organic fertilizer that improves soil structure, fertility, and water retention. It is high in nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, as well as other micronutrients. While effective, fresh manure must be composted or aged before use to prevent burning plants and to kill pathogens, as its high ammonia content can be harmful.
Benifits of Chicken Manure Fertilizer:
*Comprehensive nutrients: It’s a complete fertilizer, containing high level of nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K).
*Improve Soil Structure: Organic compounds in the manure improve soil’s ability to retain moisture, drain properly, and allow for better air circulation.
*Sustainable and Organic: It is a natural and sustainable alternative to synthetic fertilizers.
How to apply:
*Compost First: Always compost fresh manure to break it down. This neutralizes its high ammonia content, making it safer for plants.
*Add to Soil: Rake the aged or composted manure lightly into the top layer of soil or mix it into the planting bed at the time of planting.
*Sustainable and Organic: It is a natural and sustainable alternative to synthetic fertilizers.
Application for Plants: You can apply it to soil when planting or use it as a side-dressing for established plants. For flowing plants, apply when buds have formed.
Safety Storage: Store it in a covered, dry area to preserve its nutrients.
Important Precuations: *Avoid using fresh manure directly on plants: It is “hot” and can burn roots due to high ammonia content.
